Catastrophic flash flooding has torn through the Nepal-Tibet border region, killing at least 788 people and leaving over 2,500 more missing, in one of Nepal’s worst disasters in years.

Entire communities along the Trishuli River corridor have been wiped out — bridges destroyed, roads buried, and homes swept away in an instant.

Specialist rescue teams are racing against worsening weather and treacherous terrain, working around the clock to reach survivors before it’s too late.

Thousands of survivors are now left with nothing — no home to return to, no clean water, no power, no way to know what comes next.
