Our Partners

Our Partners

Since 1989, MAA International has been dedicated to fostering impactful partnerships that drive humanitarian and development projects in Australia and globally. Our commitment to creating meaningful change drives our collaborative efforts with diverse partners, ranging from suppliers, international implementing partners, and MAA Field Offices.

In our selection of partners, MAA employs a meticulous Partner Rate Card system, evaluating potential and existing Field Partners against defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal project outcomes. This transparent system underscores our dedication to accountability and effectiveness in our humanitarian and development endeavors.

Partner Assessments and Capacity Building

  • Initial Assessment and Onboarding: The cornerstone of our partnership strategy is a rigorous first evaluation process. MAA International comprehensively evaluates potential partners during onboarding, focusing on their financial health, project delivery track record, human resources capabilities, and relevant skills. This holistic review ensures that our partners are aligned with our mission and possess the capacity to deliver on project objectives effectively.

  • Capacity Building and Support: Recognising the importance of continuous development, MAA International invests in the growth of our partners through targeted training programs. These include, but are not limited to, project implementation strategies, digital reporting techniques, and child protection & safeguarding protocols. We aim to empower our partners with the tools and knowledge needed for sustainable project success.

Ongoing Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Continuous Partnership Evaluation: Our commitment to our partners and project beneficiaries does not end with the onboarding process. We actively monitors and evaluates our partners' performance throughout each project's lifecycle. This includes conducting financial assessments, reviewing delivery reports, and ensuring compliance with agreed-upon standards and practices.

  • In-Field Audits: MAA conducts regular in-field audits to ensure further transparency and accountability. These audits allow us to assess our projects' on-the-ground impact, resource utilisation efficiency, and adherence to our ethical and operational guidelines.

  • Post-Project Review: Upon the completion of projects, MAA undertakes a thorough review process with our partners. This post-project evaluation focuses on assessing the outcomes against initial goals, identifying lessons learned, and planning for future improvements.

Our Commitment to Ethical Practice

As a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct, MAA International upholds the highest standards of integrity and accountability. We ensure that our practices and those of our partners reflect the shared values of the ACFID community, contributing positively to the reputation of the international development sector.
