The Crisis in Lebanon
Israeli violence over Lebanon has reached a crucial point, leaving an estimated 500,000+ people internally displaced and without anywhere to go. With the Israeli Government issuing mass evacuation warnings, Lebanon has reached a catastrophic state of emergency and is currently enduring a war.
Ongoing Israeli airstrikes and cross-border attacks have damaged civilian areas, homes and critical infrastructure, compounding an already fragile situation shaped by years of economic collapse. Access to healthcare, electricity, clean water, and safe shelter remains severely disrupted, and it is increasingly difficult for families to meet even their most basic needs. The cost-of-living crisis and lack of economic opportunities are also projected to worsen as the crisis intensifies.
The current situation in Lebanon predicts no political resolution in sight, and so humanitarian assistance remains vital.
