What’s the current situation in Sudan?
Sudan is in the third year of a nationwide civil war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), with other armed groups active in Darfur, Kordofan and Blue Nile.
It is widely described by the UN and major agencies as one of the worst and largest displacement and hunger crises in the world.
Humanitarian Crisis
Urgency & Need: Sudan is now experiencing one of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world: more than 14 million people displaced, over 30 million in need of help.
Violence, hunger and disease are converging in Sudan. Families are trapped between gunfire and starvation.
At this very moment, mothers are skipping meals so their children can have one. Schools are shut. Hospitals are out of service, and the internal violence is substantially escalating.
Refugees and Asylum Seekers: Since April 2023, an estimated 3.5 – 4 million Sudanese have been forced to flee their homes, crossing into neighbouring countries in search of safety.
This makes Sudan both the world’s largest internal displacement crisis and one of the largest regional refugee crises in Africa, placing immense strain on neighbouring countries and already overstretched humanitarian systems

What can you do?
With your support, we can bring relief to our Sudanese brothers and sisters. Guided by mercy and compassion, we are called to stand with the vulnerable and today, that call is urgent.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Allah is at the aid of a servant so long as the servant is at the aid of his brother.”
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2699a & Sunan Ibn Majah 225).
Let your Amanah reach our brothers and sisters of Sudan.
