For nearly two years, Gaza’s water infrastructure has been deliberately targeted and destroyed. Israel’s ongoing blockade and bombardment have left the amount of water available dangerously low, far below what is needed for survival.
9 out of every 10 requests for water treatment items have been denied, leaving desalination plants barely functioning. With 86% of Gaza under forced displacement orders, water trucks cannot reliably reach families and even when they do, there is often no safe way to store the limited water delivered.
The consequences are devastating. Medical teams are treating 1,000+ cases of acute diarrhea every week, alongside outbreaks of scabies and other skin diseases. Hospitals are running on minimal water, making it harder to treat the wounded, prevent infection, and keep patients hydrated enough to survive.
What MAA is Delivering
Alhamdulillah, MAA has the opportunity to build a semi-deep water well at an UNRWA school.
This will allow:
- Production of 10,000 litres of clean water every hour
- Enough to supply thousands of people every day
Right now, Gaza’s people urgently need a safe, reliable, and local source of water, one that does not depend on trucks as this creates uncertainty of when they will receive water.
The Impact and How We Get There
For the next 7 days, we are rallying 350 people to give $100 each.
That’s:
- 1 fully funded water well providing 10,000 litres/hour
- Thousands of people served every single day
- One community transformed with access to clean, safe water
Will you be 1 of the 350 people to help?
