At MAA, our work is grounded in the Islamic principles of ihsan (excellence), compassion, and the pursuit of social justice.
We’ve been entrusted by our community not only to deliver life-saving aid, but to challenge the systems that cause injustice in the first place.

Our Mission
To support systemically excluded and marginalised communities through transformative humanitarian action and unwavering advocacy.
We’re not just part of the aid sector, we’re part of a growing global movement working to shift power, rewrite narratives, and demand justice and dignity for all.
How do we do it?
By tackling the root causes: shaping policy, leading critical research, collaborating and building collective impact, and amplifying the voices that are too often silenced.
Because at MAA, we don’t just want to feed people. We want to help free people.

The rest, we leave to Allah ﷻ.

Information about our partnerships
At MAA, we believe we have a duty to fight injustice at every level, big and small.
Over the last 6 months, our focus has been to build strategic partnerships with organisations leading the charge for justice, particularly in response to the genocide in Gaza.
Some highlights include:
- Publishing full-page ads in major national and global newspapers that reached millions to amplify Palestinian voices and shift media narratives.
- Engaging with political leaders at the highest levels, writing to the Foreign Minister’s Office urging a stronger response on a permanent ceasefire and allowing aid in Gaza.
- Collaborating with over 40 civil society and grassroots groups to spearhead powerful campaigns, from the Palestinian humanitarian convoy to the historic Palestine Convergence on Parliament, which was led by a moving 24-hour Gaza Vigil.
- We held a number of workshops and educational events on social justice issues including Gaza to empower advocates and community members.
- We’re worked with Australia Palestine Advocacy Network to train dozens of youth in activism and support urgent political and media campaigns.
Together, our actions have helped shape national conversations, mobilise communities, build collective power and strengthen the broader movement for change.
