Update 18/03/2025, 14:45 AEDT
Israel Escalates Attacks on Gaza – Civilians Under Fire
Israel has launched a brutal, full-force assault on Gaza, bombing homes, schools, shelters, and tents housing displaced families. The death toll in just a few hours has surpassed 200, with over 300 wounded - the majority being women, children, and even the families of healthcare workers.
Airstrikes have devastated Khan Yunis, Gaza City, and Rafah, leaving hospitals overwhelmed and communities in crisis.
This attack follows weeks of Israel violating ceasefire terms, blocking humanitarian aid, cutting off food, water, electricity, and fuel, and escalating violence in the West Bank - all during the holy month of Ramadan.
Our current programs, providing urgent food, water, medical supplies and more, are uninterrupted at this stage but we are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to update you as it unfolds..
The people of Gaza need us now more than ever. We stand in unwavering solidarity with the people of Palestine and commit ourselves to every means of support - dua, donations, using our voices and taking action to put an end to this injustice.

Challenges
Two million Palestinians are facing violence, displacement, and restricted access to basic necessities and rights. Their access to essential services, freedom of movement, and many human rights are denied or limited, leading to inadequate medical care and hindered opportunities for work and education..png?lang=en-AU)

Note: At MAA, we believe we have a duty to fight injustice at every level, big and small. It’s not enough to give aid to the most vulnerable and marginalised after harm has befallen them; we must stand up for them and empower their voices. To fulfil our collective obligation, MAA may dedicate a portion of your sadaqah donations to this cause to create change and dismantle the forces that harm the most marginalised.
Our team is on the ground in Gaza, working tirelessly to provide aid to those in need. Here are the latest updates:
