Muslims globally unite in celebration, each embracing Eid Ul Adha in their unique cultural manner, yet bound by common Islamic rulings. The main theme, of course, is to remember the story of Ibrahim (AS); to rejoice, regroup, and rekindle as a family and feast together.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc79a18 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"fc79a18\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Who Is Encouraged to Attend the Celebratory Eid Ul Adha Prayers?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-387043f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"387043f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"paragraph\">Eid-ul-Adha prayers traditionally unfold in expansive open spaces, known as Eidgah, or on extensive dry lands, designed to accommodate the multitude of Muslims in attendance. Men and adult teenagers are required to attend, but women are not obligated to attend. People who happen to be in the state of travel are exempt from attending.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-becda8f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"becda8f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">When Is Eid Ul Adha 2025 Celebrated and Qurbani Performed?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-69e7afd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"69e7afd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Eid-Ul-Adha begins on <strong>6th of Dhul Hijjah<\/strong>, in the Islamic calendar, which is expected to be on\u00a0<strong>8th June 2024.<\/strong><\/p><p>Dhul Hijjah is the last month of the Islamic calendar during which the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maainternational.org.au\/islamic-donations\/what-is-qurban\/the-fifth-pillar-of-islam\">Hajj pilgrimage<\/a>\u00a0is performed. Upon the conclusion of Eid Ul Adha prayers, Muslims engage in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maainternational.org.au\/our-projects\/qurban\">Qurbani<\/a>\u00a0ritual, executing an animal sacrifice\u2014typically a goat, cow, or camel\u2014adhering to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maainternational.org.au\/islamic-donations\/what-is-qurban\/story-of-ibrahim-a-s\">Sunna of Ibrahim (AS)<\/a>. As such, people dress up, put on perfume or bring gifts for other family members and friends. Putting on new clothes and a nice fragrance is Sunna.
